The Fishy Professor

My professor gave me the strangest method to study for our midterm. It is a method that requires pure trust because it seems so impractical and honestly, a little foolish. He said I only have to read my notes three times and will be able to "ace" the exam. Now that sounds crazy! But my professor swears by it and since he is the one grading the midterm, it is worth the risk.

Ever notice how a classroom is like a miniature world? Each classroom takes on a life all of its own. The rules or "vibe" of the room are unique to that room. By the third week of class I usually know if it is more appropriate to speak up in class or sit and listen quietly.

In this "world" of a classroom, I am having to put a lot of trust in my professor. He is asking for our trust. He is asking us to not rely on what has proven to work for us in the past (with much effort and a lot of time and dedication) and try a new method (with little effort and less than two hour of time dedicated).

This is a lot like what the Lord has been teaching me. "Stop trying what has you surviving after you put all of your effort into it and instead try thriving by letting Me tell you what will work, not matter how ridiculous it sounds."

What took less effort? Spending money to by the crowd food OR taking a few pieces of fish and bread and trusting that it will be enough to feed thousands?

May I choose the simple and live by the way of Your world God.
